"Human beings are not born once and for all on the day their mothers give birth to them...Life obliges them over and over again to give birth to themselves."

Full Moon Focus
Virgo – Spotlight on Integration

With the Full Moon in Virgo on February 28th, the focus is on our overall health and wellbeing. Virgo’s symbol is “the Virgin,” the archetype of the Priestess who projects the energy of sovereignty, self-awareness, and deep wisdom. Virgo seeks to know herself completely, to cut away the superfluous and keep only what’s necessary for the task at hand. At its best, Virgo accepts herself – flaws and all – and seeks to serve others with the skills she possesses. Its dark side is a judgmental mind that borders on cruel and an addiction to self-improvement that leaves no time for meaningful work. Virgo can be analytical to the point of inaction. It can also give of itself too much, leading to workaholic tendencies and eventual burn-out. When the Full Moon is in Virgo, we can see some of these themes more clearly in our lives. We may feel the urge to clean house or reduce clutter in our work space. Hurt feelings can rise up at the perceived criticism of others. Virgo can help us bring the energy of integration into our lives, getting projects, problems and relationships in order. This Full Moon may feel like a searchlight exposing any blemish or shortcoming, but it can also light up the details and day-to-day activities we need to tend with more loving awareness and appreciation.

New Moon Intentions
Pisces – Invoking Unity

Watery Pisces is often called the sign of mysticism and spirituality. While its underlying message of unity and cosmic belonging can be found in experiences of spirit, we enter the realm of Pisces wherever we find an opportunity to transcend our individual labels and ego. Co-ruled by Jupiter and Neptune, Pisces needs dreams, music, and faith; it prefers poetry and feelings over facts. The energy of the New Moon on March 15th can bring idealism and profound vision to an area of our lives that has been weighted down by negativity or cynicism. It can also help us understand our individual suffering from a broader viewpoint. This moon wants us to cultivate compassion for ourselves and others in order to identify with an underlying unity of life. Listen to this part of you to release attachments to illusion and to dream new dreams. Where do you need more reverie in your life?

To tap into the energy of this New Moon, you can create a ritual of writing out intentions and burning them with herbs as offerings, or hanging them on a wall as a reminder throughout the next lunar cycle.

This New Moon, we ask for help and set intentions in the following areas ruled by Pisces:

·         Healing for addictions.

·         Finding forgiveness for past wounds.

·         Releasing tendencies to take on the role of the victim/martyr in relationships.

·         Releasing negative thinking.

·         Beginning or deepening one’s spiritual practice, such as meditation.

·         Inviting in a fresh relationship with the Divine, finding new spiritual awareness.

·         Developing acceptance and compassion for self and others.

·         Creating time for stress relief, quiet reflection and “down time.”

·         Cultivating the imagination, dreams, and psychic abilities.

·         Shedding self-delusion, confusion, and damaging fantasies about self and others.

·         Healing for feet, lymphatic system or sleep disorders.

Sabian Symbol for 25-26 Pisces: Watching the very thin moon crescent appearing at sunset, different people realize that the time has come to go ahead with their projects.
A keen appreciation of the value of individualized responses to any challenge in life. (Dane Rudhyar, An Astrological Mandala.)
